This game is awesome!!! This is what the Wii was made for. Its pretty much an arcade shooter, and works great with the Wii Perfect Shit. I love all arcade shooters on the Wii, but Ghost Squad is my favorite. One of the best things about it is that you cannot die, so you will always play though to the end. This makes the game very accessible to people just starting to play video games. But this doesnt stop even the most hardcore player from running through the games three stages like a million times, because each stage has several “decisions” you can unlock and partake in which changes the stage somewhat.
There is also a four-player “party mode” so that you and a bunch of friends can take on the terrorist scum.
This is a must-have for Wii owners, as it is fun for everyone. You will not be disappointed.

First off, the entire Fire Emblem series is amazing. I really love tactical turn-based RPGs, where you command an entire army as opposed to a small party. I also love turn-based, because it tends to lead to more strategy being used to finish a battle. What I love (and hate) about Fire Emblem is that its one of the only RPGs Ive played where if a character dies in battle, he or she is lost for the entire game. So you will find yourself resetting the battle and starting over several times to ensure all your characters survive.
Before you play Radiant Dawn, you have to play Path of Radiance, which was available on the Gamecube. Same exact gameplay and everything, but to fully appreciate Radiant Dawns story, you have to play through Path of Radiance.
Radiant Dawn is great. The Wii is lacking in RPGs where you fight with a party, and Fire Emblem gets it right. Gameplay is also very simple, with the Wiimote being turned on its side, and relying on the 1 and 2 buttons.
This is one of my top five Wii games. I fell in love with the Fire Emblem series, and I look forward to a hopefully eventual sequel. Its a must have for RPG fans.

This game is great. The series of minigames are shorter and much more simplistic than those of Mario Party, but this makes them funner in a way, as you get hit by a barrage of ridiculousness, from being forced to actually drop the wiimote to picking a nose to balancing a broom on your hand. Whats also cool is that once you finish the main story, you can continue playing through with a more challenging difficulty.
There is also a multi-player mode which is somewhat interesting. I did not check out all the games, but some were good, and some were bad.
This is a must-buy if you have a Wii.

This game is alright. Its interesting to walk around the forest and hunt, though it is not open-ended enough, and there is a limit to where you can venture off to. While the walking and stalking can get tiresome, there is a sweet fight at the end of the first stage where you have to kill a bear as it attacks and charges you, so that was interesting. All in all, the game would probably be more appreciated by a real-life hunter.
For some reason, it grew on me, and I was compelled to finish it, which I did within two days. The story mode was very short, and could have been a bit longer. There are mini games thrown in each hunt, and you only have a license for a specific number and type of animal, so just shooting anything that moves will make you lose the game pretty quick. This was a pain in one of the later levels, where I was hunting a certain type of deer, but the two breeds looked similar, so I kept shooting the wrong one.
It was interesting. I enjoyed it coming from a family that hunts (although I dont). Im not sure how much appeal this game would have to someone who has never hunted, but if you do or have, then you may want to check it out.

This game is super great. It reminded me a lot of Champions of Norrath: Call to Arms, that I had for the PS2.
The game is an over-head hack-and-slash RPG, that takes place in space. You choose from different classes of Earth space soldier (grenader, SEAL, flamethrowing chick, etc) and then blow away hordes of alien scum. You have stats that can be leveled up, a wide variety of weapons, items, and equipment that can be picked up, and the game can handle four players playing together at the same time.
This game was fun solo, and even more fun with a friend or three. Give this game a rent. You will not regret it.

This game is great. It is a perfect party game for the Wii. Players compete in a series of minigames that are more intellectual than anything WarioWare or Mario Party can throw out. Players are timed on a series of quizzes that involve identifying, computing, visualization, and other genres in order to score a larger “brain weight”, thus determining how smart you are.
The single player mode was also very addictive. You competed in all the games, and then received a “grade”. The highest I got was a B+, which is apparently very good. Another cool feature is that you can send your friends your stats, and vice versa, so that you could constantly compete for high scores in each game.
I really enjoyed this game initially, and still go back to it every now and then. I think its worth giving a try.

First and foremost, let me put this out there: If you own a Wii, you should own this game.
Mario Kart is one of the Wiis best single and multi-player games. The controls using the Wiimote are simple and easy for anyone to pick up. You hold the Wiimote sideways, then push 2 for the gas and the directional to throw a weapon. Its as easy as that. Theres a lot to do in the single player mode. For example, there are eight “courses”, and each course has four tracks to race through. So thats 32 different tracks the game offers. Now in single player, you have to race through all eight courses three different (50cc,100cc, and 150cc) and place at least 3rd in the end. Doing this unlocks additional characters and karts, as well as other stuff.
Multiplayer is a lot of fun too. When playing against friends on the same console, its a good time. The split screen isnt too bad, and you can still see whats going on. When you take the game online, however, its a totally different experience. For starters, lets say you and your friend want to race online. So you log onto the games online screen and find your friend. It isnt that hard. However, Nintendo made it so that you and a friend could not race against strangers together. Thus, you and your friend cannot join in a public race, you have to create a special room and invite other friends to race. Now lets say that none of your other friends are around (or that you have no other friends for this game), then there will only be you and your friend racing. Just two characters. Nintendo didnt even give an option to fill the race with AI characters. So its just your guy and your friends guy driving around. Not a whole lot of fun. As far as the WiFi for the game goes, Nintendo dropped the ball.
So yeah, Mario Kart is a lot of fun…if you play it by yourself or with friends at home. Its when you go online, and only then, that you will be disappointed. But this game is still one of the best for the Wii, and everyone should own a copy.

I figured I’d take the time to talk about the worst Wii game ever…Chicken Shoot.
I love arcade shooters. I think the Wii was built for arcade shooters. But Chicken Shoot just…well, it just sucks. You would think that playing a game where you shoot up chickens could be fun. Well, its not. Far from it. Its like torture.
Basically, you fire away at chickens for points. The graphics are cartoony, bright, and decent, but its the gameplay that kills this game. Its just so horrible. First off, as you shoot chickens they go away, but come back soon. So its like you keep hitting the same targets. Also, the chickens cannot attack you, so there is no challenge, and no way for you to lose. And the worst part…there are only five levels. So the game is over faster than a one night stand, and you’re sitting there in a daze, wondering what the hell just happened.
Chicken Shoot will go down in history as one of the Wiis worst games. The game can barely be called a game, with its lack of levels, controls, and even a challenge. If you see this game, just break it, and save some stupid smuck the mistake of thinking it sounds good and picking it up for himself. God will love you then.

I think its safe to say that Strikers my favorite game to play online. It was the first Wii game to have online play, and has remained the easiest one to connect and play with over the internet.
Strikers is a soccer game using characters from Super Mario Bros. You choose a team captain (a main character like Mario, Bowser, or Donkey Kong) and then three side kicks (such as Shy Guys, Hammer Bros, or Boo). You then run around the soccer field, throw power-ups and weapons around, and try to score a goal. Each character has their own special “super move” which has different effects.
As I already said, playing Strikers online is the best. Its sad to say that the first game to have WiFi playability is still the best. The other two main online games by Nintendo (Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros) all lack a good, solid WiFi setup. With Super Smash Bros, you can only play against someone who you have exchanged friend codes with, and with Mario Kart you can only race friends against other friends. So if you and a friend want to race, and none of your other friends are online, its going to be a 2-man race, which gets boring real fast.
So yeah, Strikers is my favorite game to play online. Its a lot of fun, and the controls are relatively easy to pick up on quickly. I for one highly recommend Strikers for playing on and offline.

The first time Steve and I played this, we lost all track of time. It is a seriously awesome game.
Basically, you either throw balls at a tower of blocks to knock off certain ones, or you pull out certain blocks (kinda like Jenga). The multi-player mode is phenomenal. We spent 3 hours playing it and had no idea how much time had passed because it was so fun. There’s a bunch of different multi-player modes that include several different maps. Also, the game supports up to four players, making this a ridiculously awesome party game.
The single player mode is also amazing. There are a lot of different modes to play through, most having some sort of “story” about one of the Boom Blox animals, and you help them through the story. Also, as you play through single-player mode, you unlock pieces that you can use to create your own puzzles and maps in the create mode.
All in all, this game is most definitely worth checking out. This game is one of my top 5 Wii games!!!
