All Work and No Play Make Rob a Dull Boy

I’ve been pretty busy the past two days, and that will only continue to the weekend. Yesterday I went down to my parent’s to help my Dad stack up some winter wood (ended up being two cords worth…which averages between 2000-4000lbs a cord depending on the wood. I also went shopping with my Dad and helped him pick out a new HDTV, and then went back to their house to install it. I also lugged some loot from our apartment and my parents house to Shell’s Dads house to prepare for tomorrow’s garage sale.

Today was a lot more prepping for the trip down to Shell’s Dads house. I also ended up doing the weekly grocery shopping this morning since we will be gone all weekend.

And tomorrow is the big day. We’ve been planning this garage sale for awhile now, and I’m looking forward to finally getting it over with. We have tons of junk to unload on whoever wants it, including plenty of DVDs, CDs, and even some of my old video games, not to mention a crud load of clothing and other stuff. It runs from 8-4, so by the end of the day I know I’m gonna be exhausted. We’re staying over her Dad’s tomorrow night also, and then heading home later in the day on Sunday.

All I know is that I miss my games!!!!!!!!

A Busy Saturday

Today went by ridiculously quick. We started at 8:00am with a fresh egg and turkey bacon breakfast. After getting ready for the day, we did our normal grocery shopping routine, which consists of Wal-Mart and Price Chopper. We also stopped at the liquor store and picked up some wine, since our cabinet was low.

After returning home and eating lunch, we headed out to the mall. We did some more wardrobe shopping and other junk, and ended up catching an afternoon showing of Iron Man 2 (a review of it will be done in a separate post.) Nice Relaxing Weekend

So this was the first weekend in a long time where we didnt do anything or go anywhere. It was sooo great.

Yesterday we had a lazy start, eventually heading out to go grocery shopping. After lunch I started doing some reading for school while Shell slept. After dinner, we  went out for ice cream. After which we played Rock Band 2 and then called it a night.

Today was even lamer. We had another late morning, and eventually got to the gym. After we got back we had lunch and watched Gran Torino. We then cleaned the house (I vacuumed while Shell cleaned the bathrooms), played some Wii for a bit,  and then cooked up a nice steak dinner (I had a ribeye and Shell had a porterhouse…mmmm…steaks…) After dinner we pretty much crashed on the couch and watched TV til Shell drifted off to sleep around 9:30, then I played some Wolfenstein til about 10ish when Steve came online, and we played Sacred 2 until about 11:30.

So I enjoyed my slacking weekend. It was nice to sit home in PJs all day and do nothing. Tomorrow starts my last week of summer vacation, as next week I start college classes and then the week after that starts student teaching. My summer of slacking is pretty much over…I need to get ready to transition into super uber busy mode in the coming weeks.
