Guys Night In July ’09

Steve came up this weekend, and we had ourselves an old-fashioned game night. Aside from playing PS3, Wii, and DS, we also went out to snag some sushi and caught Transformers 2.

Heres the games we played:

  • Streetfighter IV
  • Mortal Kombat II
  • Punisher: No Mercy (pass and play)
  • Battlefield 1943

  • Ghostbusters
  • Boom Blox Bash Party
  • Ghost Squad
  • Mario Strikers Charged
  • Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball
  • Madworld
  • Tetris Party

  • N+
  • Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin
  • Pictochat

We didnt get as much gaming in as usual, but a great time was had by all.  I hope to get in one more gaming night later this summer.

Loki’s Birthday Party

Shell went out and bought Loki a “kitty cube” for his birthday. Its basically a mesh-like cube with holes so he can climb into it. I took a video of us giving it to him.

My First Video

So I came home today to the surprise that my camera was already here! They just shipped it yesterday, so I got it within one day. I guess its because the company is from Brooklyn. So that was a nice treat to come home to (and so was Shell’s mannicoti.)

So heres my first video. As you can see, its of Loki. I was just fooling around with a half-charged battery to see what the camera could do. I definitely see a major differnce in quality compared to my old one. I was really astounded by the sound quality. It picks up sound very well, and it plays back just as good.

So yeah, heres the first of many videos to come. Now you can all meet the bain of my existence…Loki!

Video Camera

So with the wedding festivities fast approaching, I wanted to have a video camera. I found out that my old one had died this Christmas when I tried filming that morning, only to find a blank display screen and then wavy lines when I played it back. So needless to say, I needed a new one.

I found a nice JVC camera on amazon, that was $329. Its a new-fangled 60GB HDD camera, so no more ridiculous tapes. Now my videos go right to a hard drive in the camera, which I can later dump onto my computer. Pretty slick. Im looking forward to it. The best part is that I ordered it Sunday morning for $329, and today its $386. Good savings to Rob!!!

The other good thing is that my site will soon be having a lot more videos up. Expect the first one to star Loki!

Video- BigBadBob’s Tea Party

Ok…this is, hands down, my favorite video I did. Basically its me having a tea party for some plush friends. We did many, MANY takes of this…I think there were at least seven or eight alternate videos. These two are the best.
