Wow…I never thought a gamed based on law would be so fun.

You play the game as a defense lawyer, Phoenix Wright. As would expect in a law game as a lawyer, the main part of the gameplay takes place in the courtroom. Basically, you use the evidence you have collected (autopsy reports, murder weapons, photos, etc.) to poke holes in the testimony of witnesses, as you attempt to prove your clients innocent.

Not only do you handle courtroom proceedings, but you also have to do some investigative work. Inbetween cases, you will have to go to crime scenes and search for evidence. You will also be able to speak with witnesses there, who can give you decisive information and evidence.

The game was surprisingly a lot of fun. You cant help but smile as you turn the prosecution’s witness into the actual commitor of the crime, or prove that he or she is lying to protect the true culprit. The graphics are really good- sharp, crisp, and colorful. The characters are also pretty cool, from the evil prosecutor who believes that everyone is guilty to the bumbling detective who seems to always makes mistakes.I also loved the fact that you could save the game at any point, because sometimes the cases take over a 1/2 hour to complete, and you dont always have a 1/2 hour.

If you have a DS I recommend checking it out. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is the first game in the series. I believe there are two other games out, but they go by the title Ace Attorney, rather than Phoenix Wright. Check them out…its a fun casual game that will have you thinking as you try and remember little details.
