I remember being a very picky eater as a kid and teenager. If we went to restaurant, I wouldnt want to go unless burgers were on the menu. I recall going to places like Olive Garden and Red Lobster, and only eating chicken fingers. However, I eventually became a “steak man”, as I am today. Sadly, I still remember the day it happened.
The family and I were vacationing in Niagra Falls, and we went to a very nice restaurant. The special of the day was a prime rib. I wanted no part of it, but no Dad got mad that all I ate was burgers and stuff, so he coerced me into eating it. He regretted it in the end though, as I fell in love. From that point on, for the next few years, I only ordered prime rib!
Today, my favorite cut of meat is ribeye. Its such a tender, delicious slab of tastiness. Its like biting into a bloody cloud of heaven. I like pretty much all steaks, but ribeye is the best.
The reason Im writing all this is because we are watching Iron Chef right now, and the secret ingredient is cowboy ribeye steaks, which are an extra-thick cut of ribeye. It looks so tasty…I wish I could pull the steak out of the TV, like in Willy Wonka…
