This is a very simple recipe I use when cooking meats. Its mostly something I learned from when I was little. My Dad used to make up a marinade when we grilled, and I soon got stuck manning the grill, so I used the marinade when cooking. Today, I use it for when Im baking or broiling as well (since I dont have a grill at my apartment.)
Anywho, like I said, the recipe is very simple, but adds a nice flavor to whatever meat you’re cooking. It can be used with beef, chicken, pork, or probably any other type of meat. Also, I dont use measurements for this one, so I’ll give you the basic gist.
Meat Marinade
Olive Oil
Red Wine Vinegar
Garlic Powder
Oregano
Salt
Ground Black Pepper
The basis of the recipe is the olive oil. So grab a small bowl, and fill it up with some olive oil. Next, place a splash of red wine vinegar into it. You dont want to use too much, just a little bit. Then add the rest of the spices and mix it up.
When cooking, use a pastery or meat brush to apply the marinade to the meat. I generally apply a coat each time I flip the meat. If you run out of marinade, just apply more olive oil to the bowl. Dont worry about making a whole new batch.
Not only does this marinade bring some nice flavor to the meat, but the olive oil also makes the meat a bit more tender and juicy. This is very helpful when Im cooking meat in my oven, because its not as good as a grill. But the marinade helps out quite a bit.

I was driving to the Post Office last Friday (I sold off my precious Heroscape collection), and heard that the Stanley Cup was going to be on display at the Glens Falls Civic CenterĀ from 4:30-6. I only worked until 3 that day, and I saw that it was only an hour away, so after work I donned my jersey and made the drive to see it.
It was really cool. When I got to the Civic Center, there was a line to see the Cup. There were a lot of families bringing their kids to see it. There were all kinds of fans…fellow Rangers fans, as well as Red Wings, Islanders, Devils, and Buffalo fans. I waited about a half hour before I was in its presence.
It was in the open, on a table. There was no glass case or anything. We were allowed to touch it. The security personell were there, and they were helping out by taking pictures for fans. It was a very awesome experience. I was so excited that I made the effort to check it out. Who knows if I will ever get an opportunity like this again.

As you know, I love arcade shooters on the Wii. Thus, I love House of the Dead.
This is a great port of two classic arcade shooters. There is not much I can say about this game. Both HOD 2 and 3 are included on the one disc. Basically, you grab a pistol in HOD2 and a shotgun in HOD3 and just shoot the heck out of hordes of zombies and other creatures. There is nothing funner than blowing away zombies as far as I’m concerned. There is also a slew of additional features like the free play mode, where as you play you can unlock different abilities that can be used in game (additional ammo, more life, more damage, etc.)
BUY THIS GAME!!!

This game was alright. Its just a slew of mini games. There are six general categories ( katana, nunchuck, shuriken, firefly catching, fly catching, and fish catching). At each belt rank, you can do several mini games in each category. Once they are done, you can attempt a belt test, in which you must complete one mini game from three different random categories. Also, there is a multiplayer mode where you and friends can compete for high scores.
The game was alright. Many of the games were lame, espicially the firefly one. All you do is stare at the screen until it lights up, and then hit A. Very lame. The biggest problem I had was with the nunchuck games. You have to swing the Wiimote in a figure-eight pattern to simulate twirling a nunchuck. You must then strike out by slashing with the Wiimote, and then quickly return to the pattern before it gets messed up. There are two problems I had with the nunchuck. First, it would frequently say I was twirling too fast, and the mini game would end. Other times, as I twirled it, it would register as a strike, which totally messes the game up.
All in all, this is a lame party game. The concept was good, but the mini games were very lacking. I wouldn’t suggest renting this unless you and some friends are very curious. Otherwise, avoid this game.

Worms is a great multi-player game for the Wii. You control a group of worms who use different high-tech and wacky weaponry to destroy your opponents group of worms. The Wii controls work very well, and the game is very quick and easy to pick up on.
The gameplay itself is very addictive and fun, and will lend hours of great gaming whether you play solo or with friends. The only downfall of the game is that it is not Wi-Fi compatible. Had this game been online playable, it would have been flawless.
Definitely check this game out.
